I have windows media player 11. I am trying to get all the polular and common
codecs for it.
To play quicktime files i downloaded the quictime plugin which rusn out to
be a DMG file. How do I install this file?
Also, I have some MPEGS that plays with WM 11 and some don't. Same with the
AVI files. How do I know which codecs I need to download for these files? I
do not know what software was used to make these media files.
If I use Ace Mega Codecs, everything works. BUT I recently foprmatted my PC
and dont want to load it again. I want WM to download the required codecs by
itself. When I try to play one of these MPEG or AVI files, I can see that it
is trying to get the right codec form the web. Then it tells me it has the
codec. BUT when the media file plays, it only plays the sound and not the
video.
