In our business we often file letters, listings, etc. in
folders within My Documents. Using Windows 98 we were
able to arrange the icons for these documents by date
(right click the field around a document, select Arrange
Icons, select Date). Windows XP does not seem to have the
Date option when arranging file icons. How best to
arrange ones files cronologically, then?

In windows xp, the 'arrange by date' option has been replaced by the
'arrange by modified'.
They both work in the same way and the option is avaliable in all explorer
powered dialogs that many software programs use. Older programs that use the
windows 3x or their own open dialogs will not have this option.
