I am looking to copy audio cassettes to CD's. How to I
record audio taped music to the computer?

Several third party programs will do the trick. I use MusicMatch Jukebox.
Their help file will give you step by step directions for copying audio
cassettes or in fact any recording, LP's 45's, etc. I hook my cassette
deck's output into either the Mic or input positions on the sound card and
record the cassette to the HDD. Then the program will let you burn the
tracks to a CDR.

Also, if you want to edit them as well, Goldwave is an excellent program, or
if you have Nero installed, use Nero Wave Editor which is part of the Nero
Burning ROM suite. Goldwave will also allow speed variation adjustment if
your deck is running slightly slow or fast plus lots of other goodies.
