Registry Error

I just upgraded my PC with a AMD 2000+ CPU amd a IWILL
K7S3-N Motherboard. I used the old case and everything
else.Just plugged them into the new board.I am trying to
reinstall XP-pro ( the system is the same ,except for the
new MOBO and CPU)The HD alredy has XP-PRO on it ,When I
try to reinstall XP ,I get an STOP:0X00000051 -Blue
Screen.
I would like to keep the HD intact-all my files and
programs,but cannot configure the bios to let me install
over the old XP ?

Are you doing the repair after booting the CD or are you attempting to boot
HD first?
