Canon says that no additional drivers are required. Plugging in Camera
using USB detected Optura 600 new hardware and attempts to search for
drivers that are unavailable. The device does not appear in Windows
Movie Maker 2.1 or any other software. It is also unrecognizable in
Hardware Manager.
What do I need to install/reinstall?
Looked all over for solution but did not find one that works yet. WIll
attempt Firewire if all else fails, but would have preferred not
spending any more money :-)
Thanks

I have the same problem, but have downloaded through USB before. Just on a different PC. I assume there was a CD coming with the camera that had a software/driver on it that I did install.

Interestingly the camera manual says a special driver is needed for USB video download, although Canon does not offer it on their webpage. Since the camera is discontinued I assume they will not do anything for it any more ;-(

Did the firewire cable work out for you?

Thanks,
Stefan
