I have a shared folder. When I move files to that folder, they are
unavailable to other users. How can I make them automatically inherit the
permissions of their new parent folder?

Copy the files instead of moving them. A file or folder moved
within the same volume retains its original permissions.

How permissions are handled when you copy and move files and
folders

Good luck
