I have lost my computer sounds & a number of Internet sounds. The
manufacturer said I needed to reload Windows XP. I got the sound back--bur
lost it again when I downloaded Service Pack 2.

Any ideas--Gateway says it is a WIndows problem-but no one there can figure
it out.

Have you tried going to Start/Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices/Sounds
and highlighting those events for which you want sounds?

Just out of curiosity, are your sounds the only thing that's missing? My
sounds and several other (but not all) drivers also disappear when I add SP2;
I lose my prnt drivers, for instance, and my administrative logon doesn't
have permission to reinstall the drivers.. My computer is an HP.
