Database access

I use a program called Propel that accesses an FTP site
and downloads documents marked for me. For unknown
reasons, it will no longer open. I get an error message
saying connection to Propel database failed and system
error message: argument not optional. When I run the
delivery processer, it connects with the ftp site, but
gives me error message saying error connecting to
database, % connection strings for import. The ProPel
people say the problem is in WindowsXP. I reset the
registry keys, which is what they advised based on a
Microsoft KB item and it changed the error message
slightly, but nothing else. I have tried uninstalling
and reinstalling but nothing works. Anybody have
anything on this?
