Hi I got a dvd camcorder for Xmas that I have not even taken it out of the
box because i want to read about it first and exchange it if i decide i want
something better/different-Its a sony DCR-DVD105 , that uses 8cm dvd's for
recording-no internet memory-
Upon reading, i have read that each tiny disk records about 30 minutes (1.4
gb)- not good IMO.Is that possible??

I dont believe that the camcorder has a USB port that I would be able to
transfer the videos to my Windows xp home computor. I just would like to get
your opinion on this.
I would like this ($425-475 range)=
-be able to use a mem card for more memory>
-be able to transfer to pc and make a dvd from that>
-record more than 2 hours-2 1/2 before having to change disks.
Does W Xp have a dvd program in it that I can use to make home movies into
dvd that can play on tv's & pc's? thank you

The best part is that you are supposed to
be able to play these disks in your stand
alone DVD player. That eliminates lots of
worrisome downloading, editing and burning.

Just place the disk in your Computer's
DVD drive.

Here's some info:

Some camcorders use memory cards
for still shots.

You already have a DVD. Of course you
may want to download your footage to
your PC for editing purposes.

For longer recording time you may
prefer a camcorder that uses Mini DV
cassettes. I think they record about
1 hour high quality.

Also you might like a Hard Disk
camcorder. They can record for
sevaral hours.

WinXP has Movie Maker for editing
video but you need authoring software
to create DVDs...some examples are:
Nero, Roxio, InterVideo DVD Creator,
ULead, ProShow Gold....
