is this a windows problem or equipment problem?

Stereo speakers work while playing the commercial dvd movie. I can not make
the headphones work. I followed the self help in the troubleshooter and same
results.

Can anyone help with solution on this? Have a Dell Dimension 2400.

If your speakers work and your headphones
do not I would suspect a hardware issue with
the headphones or the plug. Do you have
another set of headphones or maybe some
earbuds you could use as a test?
