Hello,
I'm attempting to identify the IP address of servers used by Windows
Messenger connecting to the .net service.
I have an IM Security Appliance I need to configure to scan for viruses. It
works by redirecting DNS requests to the appliance which then redirects the
communication to the Microsoft servers.
However, when I attempt to identify the servers using "netstat -a" the entry
listed for the messenger app points to servers such as by1msg4146012.phx.gbl
and by2msg1262116.phx.gbl. I'm not familiar with this domain and am
wondering how to resolve the IP's.
