Hi,

Recently, I noticed that when I start my computer some
notification icons in system tray, just don't show up,
even though I have it all enabled and they are supossed to
be visible. I really don't know why is this and since
when. I don't see volume control, power icon, etc. Then I
have to log off and log on again and everything is normal.
This happens everytime I restart computers, only for a few
days now...

Thanks

Jaka

Jaka, this is a small bug in XP's notification area. A common workaround
for the issue is just what you are doing now - log off and log on.

MVP Kelly Theriot has a section about this issue in her Top Ten FAQ
list. http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/top10faqs.htm As far as I know,
the various workarounds lessen the rate of disappearing icons but do not
fix it 100%.
