P4 and using xp prof. It seems strange when I boot up, it seems to do its
POST (and a bit indicator bar moved from left to right ), then the pc will
reboot by itself and goes to Advance Boot Menu>safe mode>desktop

When I look at the Event Viewer>System , it has Error, Service Control
Manager, Category-none and the Event 7001 and the top line as Event 7026.
Any idea why is it restarting then goes to Safe mode? Thanks for your time

While in safe mode, right click on my computer, left properties, go to the
advance tab click startup/recovery, uncheck automatic restart, click ok,
click apply then OK, and reboot.
This should cause a blue screen appear when the error occurs, write down the
hexa code (0X0000000) and at the bottom of the MSG their may be a file name
(XXXXX.SYS or EXE). post the info.

SAFE MODE
