I am running windows xp. My computer did not load my profile, but loaded a
temporary user profile. My son transfered some documents from my profile to
the temporary profile desktop. Now those documents are lost/deleted. is
there any way to retrieve them.

Thanks

Deleted files are not removed from the hard drive, just their space is
marked available for use. The more the computer is used afterwards, the
greater is the chance they have been overwritten. So stop using the
computer until you try some of the data recovery utilities.

Executive Software “Undelete”:

Download these utilities on another computer and copy them to CD or floppy
and run from there.

Always have a full and complete backup of important data. Data loss is a
matter of when, not if.
