Over the years I have right clicked on photos to make them desktop
wallpaper; there must be many of them on the computer by now. How do I find
the folder where they are located so I can delete many of them?

Do you mean right clicked in IE, or right clicked in the image Preview
application in XP. If you mean IE, that copies the image as a bitmap to
\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Internet Explorer Wallpaper.bmp. Each time you right click an
image in IE and set it as wallpaper, it replaces the existing Internet
Explorer Wallpaper.bmp file so you will only have the most recent one
stored.

If you are talking about right click images that you are previewing, that
sets the image where it is as wallpaper, it doesn't copy it anywhere, so
there is nothing to clean up.
