Winxp home sp2;
the rest of the stop being; status(0x00000000 ox00000000)

From looking at ms kb it appears this may be caused by corrupt user32.dll,
as I dont have access to the origonal Dell disks right now, can I copy this
dll from another winxp home sp2 installation.

Background sys crashed, last good etc didnt, all options resulted in
windows\system32\config\system may be corrupt msg
I created the 6 boot disks, used recovery consol to rename the 5 sys hives
and copied origonal from \repair
The sys now boots, but in the final process results in the latest err

Or is there anything else I can do, other than waiting for the Dell disks to
arrive?
Thanks

If you can get to safe mode by hitting F8 while booting

you could try a system restore

Thanks, problem now diagnosed.
I found an winxp sp2 slipstreamed cd and was able, at last, to run chkdsk,
which reported unrecoverable errors.
Once I found the hd make, I ran the diagnostics which reported 'another
Maxtor bites the dust'
Thanks again
