Printer Does Not Delete

My wife has a Lexmark E210 printer attached to her
computer. Today when she turned it on, it Windows came
up and said found new hardward and then unreconized
hardware. I found the icon for the printer and tried to
just unplug and delete the printer and then let it
install again. Well, when I tried to delete the printer,
it came up and shows in the printer window that it's
being deleted but it never disappears. I rebooted and
tried to reinstall the printer but it doesn't recognize
the printer. The printers windows still shows the
printer as being deleted. How can I get this problem
corrected. Thanks for any assist.

Before anything else, you might try using System Restore to take you back to
a time prior to when this began. Start\All Programs\Accessories\System
Tools\System Restore.
