curser problem

On my desktop, the curser turns to a hand. Since this change from a regular
curser, I now only have to single click to open a program rather than double
clicking. How do I change this back to a regular curser that does not turn
to a hand when I pass over a program icon?

In any open folder - Tools/Folder Options, General tab - select doubl-click
in the "select item as follows" section at the bottom.

And why are you using bad language with your cursor? - you would be the
curser. ;)
