When I try to install xp home it goes thru process of
loading drivers and then it says it must restart. Then
when it restarts it goes back to the very beginning
again. What am I missing?

Is your PC set to boot from CD, and it is doing so automatically? If so,
it may be booting each time from the XP CD in the drive which starts setup
from the beginning. When XP setup starts the countdown to a reboot,
remove the XP CD from the drive. You will be prompted to insert the CD in
the drive when it is needed.
