I am running an Acer Aspire notebook on a Linksys wireless router and
cannot get the video to work. The camera is built right in the top of the
notebook and can flip 180 for front or back. I can take pictures and send
them on windows messenger but the video shows a screen on the recipiates
screen but it is blank or black. I have disabled windows firewall and also
Nortons anti-virus but still no video. CAN ANYONE HELP>

Sorry new at this..I am useing two HP Pavilliondv 9000.Windows Media, Same
internet providers and wireless routers. I set up both Notebooks side by side
to assure they were configured the same. One works in AIM and one doesn't..HP
has blown me off and so has Microsoft..They told me that the built in Webcam
does not work in Aim..Hello it does on one of the computers. Any help???

I was blown off by Linksys and Acer. Linksys says they can't help because the
cam is Acers. Acer says they can't help because it is AIM or Windows
Messenger problem.

Why not test with MSN, Yahoo and ICQ ?

It doesn't work in any live application. Like I said before, two Notebooks
everything the same, one works, one doesn't. HP says software. Paid them
$345.00 for warranty service. They want alot more to correct what they say is
software. AOL says hardware, because one Notebook works fine. So what do you
do? I have to take the darn thing in and pay someone to fix it. Sucks if you
ask me.
