Hello everybody.

I restored my computer the other day, and since that i've been getting the
blue screen of death, with the error message:

*** STOP: 0x0000008E (0x0000047,0x80521B50,0X80555E8C,0x00000000)

I've never seen the error code before, but if anyone can tell me what to do
for getting it away, i would be very happy.

- I can although use Windows Safe Mode, but not in regular mode.

Regards

Did you use the Windows XP System Restore utility? If so how far back
did you go with the restore? Or did you use the computer
manufacturer's System Recovery disk or partition to reset your
computer back to factory specs?

Your error code is for a KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED which most
often are caused by hardware compatibility or device driver issues. As
your Windows cannot be started in normal mode it is not possible to
determine which component is using memory address 0x80521B50 which is
where the error originated.

Try disconnecting all non-essential accessories and peripherals
including printers, scanners, etc. and see if that makes any
difference.

Good luck
