Thanks in advance for helping me and for your time. I am going nuts trying to
install Windows XP Professional 32 bit on my Clevo D900T laptop. I have done
it before, so I know it can be done. The problem is, I lost the floppy disk
that worked the last time. So, I have been using the RAID drivers on the
Clevo website (
http://www.clevo.com.tw/download/ftpOut.asp?Lmodel=D900T&ltype=9&submit=+GO+
) and also the RAID drivers on the Clevo CD that came with the laptop. The
best I have been able to do this time is this: A persistent error message
comes up, stating that the fasttx2k.sys file is causing an error on line 113
on d:(i forget exactly)setup(i forget)oem.c. A very complex error message. Of
course, I will go back and copy it down. Does anyone know why an OEM RAID
driver would cause this during the setup routine ? I've also emailed Promise,
whose RAID controller is in the Clevo laptop. It's the Promise 378.

Ok, my bad. The error message is exactly this:
" File \WinXP\fasttx2k.sys caused an unexpected error (18) at line 2113 in
d:\xpsprtm\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c. Press any key to continue "

That's the precise error message when I use the specified Clevo RAID driver.
