I got msn broadband and the problem i have is that i need
to disable the firewall,but the website where you go to
change the settings for your dsl service is down. THe
website is dslprofile.msn.com I was wondering if there is
any other way to disable the firewall

A firewall resides on your machine, not on a website. You need to
disable the firewall locally. Which one are you running?

I wouldn't think this is something that would be controlled by a web site
unless clicking a function toggles off a firewall on your system.

If you haven't installed a separate firewall, I assume you are talking about
the XP firewall. Go to Start, go to Connect to, select Show all
Connections, right click your Internet connection, it might appear as "Local
Area Connection" or "MSN Broadband," select properties, go to the Advanced
tab and remove the check from the "Protect my computer...." setting, click
apply and ok.

i am running a NAT firewall and it tells me that in order
to change the settings i have to go to the website, and
that website isnt working

Surely the NAT firewall is on your Router or DSL Modem - look at the
manual!
