I would like to password protect my slave secondary hard
drive so that it can only be accessed by me. I want to
prevent others from accessing the drive through locally
on the computer and through the network. There are
critical archived files located on this drive and I want
to prevent others from using it.

Why not just lock the PC down when you're away from it?

If it's NTFS what you want is partially doable. Just set permissions on the
root for your self only and propogate the permissions. Problem is that if
some one else with admin rights logs on, they can take possession and grab
the data. Or with physical access, open the case, grab the drive install it
in another machine and viola!

You could install a hot swap cage and mount the drive when you need it and
dismount and lock it up when not needed.
