Cannot Hear Audio

Hi,
I'm running SP2. I have gotten a new lcd monitor with inbuilt speakers. I have used my other speaker system and now that i have hooked up the lcd i cannot hear any audio. Can anyone hrlp i have tried downloading drivers but still nothing

Are the speakers in the monitor amplified? Quite commonly sound cards and
on-board sound outputs are only at the pre-amp level, not enough to drive
ordinary speakers. They have enough power to drive headphones but need to be
connected to amplified (powered) speakers in order to hear any sound.

It's OK i fixed it. i had to reinstall the windows sound mixer and unplug and replug all of the speaker cords. Thanks anyway for the quick reply
