My version of Windows XP only allows three buttons
visible on the QuickLaunch section next to the Start
button. The other QuickLaunch buttons are only accessible
by clicking on the little >> button. Is there any way to
configure the QuickLaunch section to display all the
buttons, instead of just three?

Slowly move your mouse over across the taskbar until you see the cursor
become a double horizontal arrow. When it does, you have found the divider,
depress the left mouse button and slowly drag it to the right to give you
more room. As you drag, it should reveal those hidden shortcuts.
Note, there is a limit to how far you can drag the divider. If there are
too many shortcuts, you will still have this issue unless you increase the
size of the taskbar to accommodate a second row of shortcuts.

Unlock the taskbar (right click on it and remove check from next to
"Lock the taskbar"). Resize the toolbar. Lock the taskbar again if you
so desire.

Once the taskbar is unlocked you can drag the entire Quick Launch bar to a
different edge of the screen. I keep mine on the left edge of the screen
and set to Always on Top and AutoHide.
