I have a client with some PCs that have XP and some PCs
that have 98. They are hooked up to a workgroup. They have
a plotter that is using a 98 machine for its plotter. When
a user on XP tries to plot a drawing that is very big,
nothing happens. IF a user on XP tries to plat a drawing
that is not very big, it plots.

Are there any parameters I can change on the XP machine so
that it wil plot to the plotter with the server that is
using 98? If not, would it be a good idea to update the
machine that is the server for the plotter to XP?

I have never converted from 98 to XP. Is it pretty much
like 98 to W2K? I have done that.

What's the definition of large? Over 4G?

Installing XP over 98 isn't the same as Win2K. It's a bit easier in some
respects, but it's not a task to be taken lightly. One issue right off the
bat is with regard hardware compatibility.
