Windows Messenger is crippled
I'm trying to first-time set up Windows Messenger (never actually used it
before) on WinXP.
I get a partial WM startup, i.e., a WM window with only the WM logo in it.
Clicking on the logo opens a sign-in window (email address & password) that
is otherwise nonfunctional.
I'm guessing that at some time in the past I probably disabled an underlying
WinXP service that WM needs.
Can anyone tell me which service it might have been so I can turn it back on?
Or if I should be looking in some other direction?
TIA,
Glenn
