I have a Pentium III 700 with Windows XP Professional. The only problem
that I am having is with Netscape 7.1. Everytime I go online and open
Netscape 7.1 the following message appears on my screen.

An Error Occurred Reading The Startup Configuration File, Please Contact
Your Administrator.
Pref,js, Line 140: Syntax Error: Syntax Error, User_ Pref "Wallet,
Schemavaluefilename",

I tried to fix the problem by deleting Nestcape 7.1 and re-installing it
over again but that didn't work. It only happens with netscape because
when I open Internet Explorer everything works perfect. It's only with
Netscape that I am having the problem. It also disables my netscape
settings eveytime I open the browser. I have to reset my netscape
settings for my mail eveytime I open Netscape. Do you have a solution to
my problem? Thank you very much for your time.

Netscape is telling that on Line 140 of the file pref.js there is a
syntax error. This is the root cause. Read carefully error messages.
Often they will give you a good clue.

Deleting and re-installing isn't necessarily going to fix the problem if
the file (stored in your profile) isn't replaced and/or fixed. The
reason this problem only occurs with Netscape is that it's a Netscape
configuration error.

I don't know the correct format of this line. However, in my prefs.js
for Mozilla 1.4 (which is like Netscape) the line looks like:

user_pref("wallet.SchemaValueFileName", "51050064.w");

See if from this you can deduce how your line might be malformed. You
can find the prefs.js file most easily by searching for it. Use notepad
to edit it.

Suggest you look on Netscape forums for additional assistance.
