I am sorry about your issue but the fix is very easy.
Install SP-1A for XP. The issue is caused because XP does
not support the ASPI. This will solve your problems. HP
installs a firmware like the Compaq computers and this is
the issue. So if you start to see .sys errors this is
why, plus make sure that your bIOS is updated to the
latest version
