I had set a new folder months ago under the C drive in My Computer. I had
saved all the programs I downloaded from the internet. Now, I can no longer
save to this folder or delete anything in it. I keep getting an access
denied message.

Have you performed a repair install recently?

Try taking ownership of the folder

(it's covered in Windows help)

I did what you suggested, but was still given the message "access denied". I
never had a problem until I downloaded Norton AntiVirus 2007 to this folder.
Since then, I can do nothing with the folder. This is the only folder I
can't access.

It souinds to me like the Norton install took possession of the files with
only 'System' rights, to prevent virus access. The Permissions of the folder
should show that (in safe mode as default admin for Home Edition)
