When trying to save a word document greater than 10MB it says my drive is
full and to close all open windows. No way the drive is full.
What is going on? Is there a max size allowed by word? Is this something I
can fix?

Could be that you don't have 10MB of CONTIGUOUS drive space. How
recently have you done a defrag?
