Greetings

I have just upgraded a computer that shares my computers internet connection
over a home LAN from Win98SE to WinXP Home. I noticed in Win98 that whilst
the internet gateway was active, an icon was present in the notification
area, similar to when you establish a connection normally. However on
upgrading to XP this icon is no longer there when the gateway is active,
although the connection status icon still appears on the server screen. Is
there a way to make the ICS notification icon appear in the system tray at
all?

Regards

Andi

Click on the icon for the connection and choose properties. Then check the
appropriate box.
