Minimizing conversation windo

What would cause the conversation window to minimize itself during
conversations? Sometimes it's while I'm waiting for a reply, but other times
it will just drop down to the tray while I'm typing a message.

I've never heard of such a thing. Windows doesn't even have a shortcut for minimizing windows
(unless you count alt-space, n).
