I had the same problem and could not find them. What I
did to locate them was a bit cumbersome, but it worked.
1. Open up Word
2. Click on "file" and then "new" to open up one of your
templates.
3. Now click on "file" and then "save as" and make sure
the file type is "template".
4. Now look in the "save as" near the top right corner
for "tools". Click on it.
5. Click on "add to favorites". This adds the template
file to your Internet favorites list.
6. Then when I opened up my favorites list I right
clicked on the "templates" listing and created a
shortcut, which I then drug to my desktop. I can now
access my templates whenever I want.
