View Full Version : MS Internet Explorer and missing address bar

Hello:
Does anyone know how I go about restoring the address bar
in MS Internet Explorer? It was three once, now it's gone.
Right clicking on a blank space on the tool bar and
checking the address bar just puts the word "Address" up in
the top right hand part of the tool bar.
What I want is the address bar in the browser, so that I
may, you know, type in a URL.
Many thanks,
RA

I think if if you click on the grey double lines just to the left of the
word "address" and drag to left, it will expand and come back.

In Internet explorer click the View option on the main tool bar. From the
drop down menu click Toolbars. Another drop down menu will appear. Make sure
there is a tick next to the address Bar option.

Things to check.
Make sure the Address Bar is enabled when you right click the Toolbar. Also,
make sure that Lock the Toolbar is NOT checked.
All of the Toolbars have a small vertical "handle" at the left end of the
toolbar, look for the handle of Address Bar at the right side of the screen.
Move the cursor over the handle and drag it to the left.

Hi, Snubby.
What happens if you press F11?
F11 toggles IE (and some other screens) in and out of Full Screen mode -
which is NOT the same as Maximized - which is NOT the same as a Normal
window stretched to fill the screen.
