>What you did is for using the Recovery Console. To do
just a repair re-install you hit the enter key at
the "Welcome to Setup" screen, then select operating
system from a list (if more than 1 XP installed) then you
press the R key to do a repair install of XP. Check this

I have studied the suggestions shown on the above web.

I cannot possibly run 'regedit' to remove the password problem. I
simply cannot boot to XP, not even in safe mode.

Is there a default password for the Administrator? Or is there a way
to modify the register in DOS?
