Touchpad and mouse

I have windows XP and I was wondering if there is anyway
I could get the mouse and touchpad to be on at the same
time? Right when I plug in the
mouse, the touchpad turns off. And when I unplug the
mouse, the touchpad turns back on.

I guess it's a function of the mouse software on your computer (vendor
specific). Check the Mouse control panel application for some setting
you can change.

I have a Toshiba laptop with touchpad with an attached wireless
Microsoft mouse/keyboard. Both mice and both keyboards work
simultaneously and I did nothing to make it do this. Just works.
