I have XP home on my computer. It was preinstalled on the computer when I
bought it. Really haven't had any problems until recently. After an automatic
update about a week ago I noticed that at times when I right click on a file
in explore to use open with, explore crashes.

It opens a dialog box and asks if I want to send this to Microsoft, which I
dont bother as that is not going to help me at this time.

It happens especially, but no only, when I try to right click on some large
photo files. I can left click on them or double click but as soon as I right
click, bang, it crashes.

I tried clicking on the debug button on the crash dialog box but that does
not seem to do anything.

any help appreciated.

Hi Dig,

See if this article helps you isolate the problem.

Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/slowrightclick.htm

Also, you can get more details from the Event logs about the crash.
