I type on my keyboard, but totally different characters appear on the screen.
Have I inadvertently typed an unkownd keyboard shortcut combination?

What specific keys do you press, and what specific charactor appears
for each?

Hello,

Ensure that you have selected the correct language at
Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Languages (tab) >
Details > Installed Services.

Remove the languages which you do not need from this window and see if it
resolves the issue.

Unfortunately, I have not made note of what incorrect characters appear on
the screen, but when it occurs, it affects the entire keyboard except for the
numbers. I will make a note of things when it happens again.
