View Full Version : Dual booting
Hi
Suppose I want to dual-boot Windows XP. How do I go about doing this? I
mean, if I create three partitions (one each for the Windows
installations and a shared data partition), does it matter which
partition is used first? Should I:
Boot CD. Partition. Install Windows XP on C:
Boot CD. Install Windows XP on D:
or:
Boot CD. Partition. Install Windows XP on D:
Boot CD. Install Windows XP on C:
Many thanks for your advice.

You are going to need two XP cds to do what you want.
Is XP installed now?
Are you starting with a new drive?

I have a Dell OEM version that doesn't require activation.
I don't much care if dual booting from a single CD violates some
draconian license term. It seems perfectly reasonable usage to me since
I'll only ever be able to use one installation at a time.
