Suddenly my search history has disappeared. When I go to search, and type a
character, no longer does the system offer me the searches which match.

This happened suddenly, probably after downloading a Windows Update [which I
religeously do]

I have looked at every menu and option I can think of, and cannot see how to
restore the lost history.

n.b. IE history is still there, it is only Windows Search history I have lost.

Hello,

Try clearing your search history and see if it fixes it.

As I cannot find any menu or option that refers to search history I cannot follow your suggestion, but thank you for your interest

Hello,

In the original post, I gave you a link to a utility that does that.
