Well, you have a 32-bit version of Windows XP. The 64-bit version
is only available if you are running a high-dollar Itanium processor.

1) As another person once said, did your computer cost more then a new car?
2) Did you mortgage your house to buy it?
3) Did you specifically place a special order for 64 bit?

If you had it, you would know.
If you have to ask, you do not have it.

"right click My Computer and choose properties"

If you "must" check for yourself, try SiSoftSandra.
BTW, 64 bit starts with the processor.
You would have to have a 64 bit processor
and MOBO before you could even try to
install the 64 bit version of XP.

Hi Jonny. Have you gone to Start->Accessories->System Tools->System
Information. It should tell you there. Look at the info on Processor

AIDA32 will tell you which OS you are running
http://www.aida32.hu/aida-features.php?bit=32

Hi Jonny
If you open system properties and the processor is identified as an Intel
Itanium or Itanium 2 processor you would be using the 64bit edition of
Windows XP 2002, or 2003 for the later CPU.
For the time being at least the above mentioned CPU's would be the only ones
running a 64bit edition of XP. All others, including AMD's 64bit chips would
be on the 32bit edition.

If you need to ask this question which has been answered many times in the
newsgroups then you have the 32 bit. The 64 bit is for a special hardware
setup and is not very common at this time.
