Can anyone comment on the Offline Files client-side cache encryption offered
by XP? Good / bad / adequate? Thanks.

Pretty Good. Be certain to create the keys recovery floppy or CD. Without
it, if you ever reinstall XP, repair XP too, depending, or move the files
to another machine, you'll never be able to unencrypt them. Do it right the
first time so you don't have to learn by experience <g>.

AFAIK, you are the first one to ever bother to ask anything about encryption
BEFORE discovering they can't access their files! Congrats for being
pro-active. Just be certain to create the recovery keys in case you ever
need them and you'll be fine.
The encryption is valid for YOUR account though, so password protect it,
too. Such files are ONLY accessible via your own account.
You CAN encrypt without deleting the original files, too; keep track of
what you're doing and check to be sure the originals go away.
