at 9.76GB it almost has to be some kind of backup file or such. Do you
have Hide extensions turned on in Folder Options? Perhaps you remember
who created the file for you, or the software you used?

Oh MY! a 9.76 GB .bmp file! bmp is a picture format. What is the name of
the file, as I can't imagine a 10gigabyte bmp file. Irfanview will open
some pretty big files but I dunno about this one. You can get it off the
web just google for it.

Ok, what is in the file? Where did it come from? Where is it located on
your system?

Well if it truly was made in November 1994, it predated gigabyte hard
drives, which means it couldn't exist. I think that you probably ought
to have someone recover it for you. Contact someone local to you to give
you a hand with figuring out what it really is and how to extract the
contents and then save copies of that.

Slide show, vidoe clips, titles, effects etc......Is there some option
somewhere : to create a duplicate bmp file..I now remember that when working
on slide shows that I would sometimes get a duplicate file in bmp...I dont
know where they came from and would just delete them. I used MS Moviemaker
and Sony's Pixela. Its not all that important now, just if u know off
hand...Thank you.

If I may ask you another question, please...Under My Computer there is a
folder User's Documents - Documents and Settings - user - My Documents ...
Some of my documents from the documents folder appear there as well but not
all? Why are only some of them there? What is the purpose of that folder?
