Have a problem with an XP machine connected to a AD domain.
The pc obtains an IP address by DHCP and is obtaining one fine

When a user is logged into the machine it cant connect to any server
or other pc via UNC.
you can shell out to dos and ping other devices both by Name and IP
address

I have checked the DNS settings and they appear to be fine.

There is no firewall on the pc.
The pc's\server that I am trying to connect to are on the same
subnet.

I have tried connecting via unc using both ip address and name- both
fail.

Anyone help??
