On previous verison of Windows, I could easily send pop-up
messages to others on my network with Winpopup. Is there
an easy way to do this in XP?

You can use the NET SEND command at a command prompt. Or if you'd
prefer to do this in a windowed application, there are several
freeware/shareware choices available. I use a tiny freeware app
called NetHail (essentially just a GUI for NET SEND), which works
fine.
