Capture Video

i am trying to use windows movie maker to create a "movie" but im not sure
what cords or other things i need to connect my camera to the computer. I
have a place to hook up an AV out cord on my camera, but i dont no where to
hook it up to on my computer?

Is this a digital camcorder or an analog one? Do you have a hardware video
capture card installed in your PC if it's analog? Do you have a firewire
port if it's digital?
