On the desktop, right click on the My Computer icon, and
choose Manage from the drop down menu. (Here is a
convenient place to manage many of the important aspects
of your computer).
Expand System Tools, and then Event Viewer. Choose System.
XP logs events as they happen - including Service status.
Look for the error relating to your Server service
crashing. Double click the entry. The screen that pops up
is full of usefull information. Sometimes the Description
can be helpful, sometimes not. Note the event ID - this is
important to help troubleshoot your issue. Post the Event
ID, and we can take it from there.
