My problem is that I have a new laptop with windows vista, I have downloaded Windows live messenger 8.1 but when i go to the sign in window, I type in my address then password but the check boxes, 'remember me', 'remember my password' and 'sign in automatically' are not highlighted. If I click 'sign in' it comes up with the message Error code 80070005. Can anyone please help me? I've not got this problem on XP as my address works on that.

Kind regards

Colt

Hello,

there might be a problem with UAC or the program's access rights.
Try running Live Messenger as Administrator (Right-Click -> Run as
Administrator).

Please let us know if it worked.

Hi P. Di. Stolfo
I am running as administrator, still no good. I'm not sure what you mean by UAC or programs access rights could you please explain further.
